This day. I loved everything about it. It was one of the most fun and relaxed weddings I've ever shot, which fits right into the personalities of Nathan and Courtney. They planned plenty of time for photos and set aside time to spend surrounded by everyone that loves them so much before they walked down the aisle for their Arrington Vineyards wedding.
First Look and Bride and Groom Photos
It's kind of hard to think about now, when it's 40° outside, but it was a little on the warm side that day. So warm, that we drove Courtney's dad's truck from the house to the barn — about 100 yards — just so we could get a few minutes of AC.
But the heat was so, so worth it.
Arrington Vineyards Wedding Ceremony
If you've been to enough weddings, you always know when the First Kiss is coming. I start casually sliding my lens bag on my shoulder and getting into place to capture it, then hop to my feet for the exit. Their officiant, a long time mentor of Courtney's from her time at Alabama, faked me out a few times. But he faked Nathan out more.

I don't know why I was surprised when I found out Nathan got Steven Curtis Chapman to sing "Cinderella" for the Father/Daughter dance.
Right around dusk, I pulled Nathan and Courtney away for a few more photos.
