New Year, New Plans

Happy 2014, everyone! Between this polar vortex wiping out every warm molecule in the region, limiting our house to an unwelcoming 61 degrees and our pipes freezing, I've had a lot of time to read, research and think under the warmth of a blanket and a space heater. But this scene won't escape my mind.

2013 was a year of growth for me. I watched nervously as God led me in the direction He's planning for my life in some painful ways, and I pray 2014 is the year that I see the increase from that. If it's not, I pray He'll have even bigger things in mind, because I know I'm always blessed in one way or another by His goodness.

As I've been reflecting on the past year and planning ahead for what I hope 2014 brings as a Nashville wedding photographer, I'm asking for a little feedback from you. I want to make this space as interesting as possible for you, and I'd like to see what that involves. Could you take 30 seconds (literally) and answer this ONE QUESTION survey for me? I'd be so grateful.

I went location scouting the other day for an engagement shoot I had coming up. Walking around downtown Nashville in the brisk 27° weather didn't sound like my idea of a great day, but I so enjoyed the change of pace in strolling around the riverfront, focusing on the beautiful winter light.

I was able to take a picture of this visiting couple from France using their Fuji X100S, which was fun, but I didn't tell them I'd already taken this shot of them enjoying the day together. Feeling a tinge guilty about that now. :)

Have a great week, and THANK YOU for supporting me. Words can't describe how much it means for every blog comment, Facebook "like" or encouraging word you all send my way. I'm thankful for you.
