Today's Favorite Thing is the Nashville wedding videographers over at Cardboard Films. So much so, that I hired them myself, and I'm going to show you the video they made of Jonathan and me if you promise not to judge my Southern accent. A few months ago, I got the bright idea to surprise my husband who hates surprises (risky) for the 10-year anniversary (old) of the day we met: Valentine's Day. Cardboard Films offers an "Our Story" video, where they film you singing karaoke at your local Mexican Joint. Or maybe it's a video of the story of how you met. I forget which one. Anyway, I hired them to film one for us, and while it's intended for engaged couples to tell the story of how they met, (fine, it's not karaoke) we did it retroactively.
We met on Valentine's Day in 2004 here in Nashville, though neither of us was living here at the time. We came to the Exit / In to hear a no-name rock band play in a smoke-filled room, and I talked to Jonathan and lost a bet. I won't spoil the rest, but I really love how it turned out. You can watch it if you want to.

One of my only regrets about our wedding is that we didn't hire a videographer. So if you're on the fence about whether or not to hire one, I promise you these guys at Cardboard Films are worth it. Not only are they talented, but they're fun to be around and make you feel at ease being in front of a camera. Taylor and Payton, thanks so much for doing this for us!
