Sarah and Andy love downtown Nashville, and who could blame them? Since it's where they met and where they'll get married, they certainly have good reason to. It only made sense to do a downtown Nashville engagement session. Fortunately, this was before the POLAR VORTEX (yes, it's necessary to type it in all caps) took over Nashville and the surrounding region. It was actually a beautiful, sunny, 45° day, and I so enjoyed the time I spent with these two, getting to know them better and going all papparazzi on their every interaction. :)
I can't wait for their wedding this July. I'll let you guess the date. (Hint: the photo below.)
You're so smart. It's July 19.
OK, OK, FINE. It's July 12, 2014. Bazinga.
ANYWAY, back to the photos of this pretty pair. And their dog, Danny.
OK, funny story. To take the photo of Sarah and Andy at The Stage (where they met!), I dragged the shutter and had them hold really still so they would be in focus, but the people walking by wouldn't. I did several shots and told them to hold as still as possible until I said to stop. This lady walking by, right after this photo, stopped, turned around and just stared at them. Right in front of them. For several seconds. It was awkward.
Once she kept walking, she saw me, realized what was going on and got a good laugh out of it. "I'm glad they like each other, but I was starting to worry!" she told me as she walked by. I'm thankful for clients that are willing to look a little silly and can hold a pose in the glare of random strangers who think they prefer to stand on a crowded street and gaze longingly at each other for the fun of it.
Be sure to see the rest of Sarah and Andy's engagement session.
